Climb Out of the Darkness®, the world’s largest event raising awareness of pregnancy and postpartum mental health disorders, will hold a regional Climb right here in Corpus Christi on July 28, 2018 from 10am - 12pm.
Women and men who are survivors of postpartum depression (PPD), anxiety, OCD, bipolar disorder, and psychosis will walk, stroll or climb together at Water's Edge Park to symbolize their collective rise out of the darkness as well as to raise funds for Corpus Christi Maternal Mental Health Coalition (CCMMHC) and Postpartum Support International (PSI), both are nonprofit organizations of support and resources for women.
The stakes are high, and we are all in it together. This is the sixth annual Climb Out of the Darkness®, but this is the first time it is being held in Corpus Christi. We are holding it on the longest day of the year to shine the most possible light on maternal mental illness.
Everyone is invited to participate in our Climb event. Participants must register prior to the event at https://climb-out-2018.causevox.com/team/ccmmhc - Sponsorships from local businesses are also being accepted. Please contact Climb Leader, Liz Perez, at (361) 207-0157 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on sponsorships that will help support the Climb.
